Gladys and Dora started Mama Africa Coffee at the Market in 2000, after seeing an opportunity to sell refreshments. They bought all their lovely cups from the Pottery operating at the Market at the time and have been "the coffee ladies" ever since. Mama Africa's colourful cloths and pretty cups make coffee a special occasion every Saturday for scores of people, together with delicious bran muffins or scones or carrot cake. What a way to spend a Saturday morning! Dora now runs Cuppacino Cafe and Mama Africa Coffee has been taken over by Kita Ncapha and her team.
